VB Control Conversion Project methodology and its automation

This Whitepaper introduces what are Visual Basic control conversion projects and explains the methodology adopted by the me in my company (Patni Computer Systems Ltd.) to complete such projects. It also explains how such projects can be automated by means of a tool called VB CCT (Visual Basic Control Conversion Tool) developed by me and now being used within my company to execute such projects.
VB CCT is a Software Engineering tool and can be used in the Requirement Analysis as well as the Construction phases of SDLC for Visual Basic Control Conversion projects. It has been found to increase the productivity for these projects by almost 60%.
VB CCT also has a feature that can document all the existing controls in a given Visual Basic project along with their properties. This helps one familiarize himself with the application.
